I watched BROTHERHOOD last night. It's a Danish film about a handsome young blond guy who leaves the army after his promotion is denied when two soldiers in his command accuse him of making passes at them. He returns home to his upper middle class parents, but the obvious disconnect leads him to socialize with malcontents who recruit him into their Nazi brotherhood. He falls in love with a skin head. The two finally get it on. It was satisfying to see their passionate hate channeled into sex and love. But of course unnatural acts are forbidden by the Nazis, and violence ensues. Pretty slow going, unless the tension of predictable violence keeps you interested. Luckily, the outcome is not as bad as it could have been. Still, hard to watch.

Great, funny (but very dark) romantic comedy. You gotta see this one - Jim Carrey loves Ewan McGregor. Should go into wide release in the US sometime in the next two weeks. Of course, the rest of the world saw it last year.
