What's the last or current Movie you Watched ?

The Last Movie i watched was

i don't have anything against Johnny Depp as his a great Movie Actor and i love:heart: his movies, but i just prefer the original than the one he remade.

The Revenant (2015)

Everybody's talking about The Revenant, a remake of Richard Harris's 1971 movie Man In The Wilderness. So I went to see it. What a waste of an evening. I was hoping for something a bit more interesting than Hollywood's standard approach to good cowboys and bad indians. Yes, this is a Hollywood movie with everything. A star in the main role, lots of action, amazing visual effects, shootings and of course the protagonist who can't die with anything...

If you want to watch almost 3 hours of Leo sleeping and breathing heavily in the snow, it's the perfect movie for you. If Leo gets an Oscar for this it will be because the Academy think they owe him one and possibly because of the hype. But I hope Eddie scores another Oscar for his perfect role in The Danish Girl.

Curious how The Revenant is NOT being touted as coming "from the director that brought you Birdman''. The film's marketing has focused on two points: that it's based on a true story (something that Oscar voters seem to eat up) and DiCaprio's acting. Very smart move, Fox! We all know that DiCaprio is a name that consistently gets people into theater seats...

Wow Haiducii - it is really the first time ever that I've heard from you such a devastating film review.
I feel a little bit ashamed to say that now - but I liked the movie. I don't like DiCaprio, but I think this was great acting by him. Am I soooo wrong? p:p

It's a matter of taste. Leo deserved to win an oscar in the supporting category for Gilbert Grape, the greatest performance I have ever seen. ;)

Totally agree - but there is another one with him who should not be forgotten:
THE BASKETBALL DIARIES from 1995. I think also here he must have had an Oscar. Didn't you think so?

Or Revolutionary road from 2008...but he wasn't nominated...the Academy didn't show much love to the movie, only nominating Michael Shannon in the supporting category.

I can't say nothing to this film. Until yet I haven't watched the film because of DiCaprio. I told you, I'm not a big fan of him. But if you will say it is a must to see - I'll try to get this film for us. :blushing:

I watched Fredrik Sahlin - one of the most well known film critics in Sweden today and has his own weekly magazine on Swedish TV - telling me a few days ago what you've told me once more today: That Leo di Caprio sleeping and breathing, snivelling and snoring in front of the camera FOR THREE HOURS !!!!!!! is just too much. :(~X(X_X

Boring! I think the director and producer of this film should deeply ponder the meaning of the Aristotelian-Horatian expression "In medias res"...:p

We're in perfect agreement about Gilbert Grape :thumbs up::big hug::thumbs up:

It's an incredible movie & Leo's interaction with Johnny Depp WOW!!!

And I'm so proud that this wonderful movie had and has a Swedish director : Lasse Hallström:thumbs up:
