What's the last or current Movie you Watched ?

District 9 (2009)

Very worthwhile movie from director Neill Blomkamp. However I had watched two of his more recent movies, Elysium (2013) & Chappie (2015), before getting around to watching District 9, and it struck me how similar all three movies were. So while no one movie is unique, or manages to truly separate itself from the others, overall Blomkamp's directorial input represents something really refreshing and unique.

District 9 = 8.5/10
Elysium = 8/10
Chappie = 7.5/10

All three are flawed, but deserve very high ratings nonetheless -watch them and you will discover why.
 
Just saw Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It was interesting but not the best movie. I give it a B.

SIEGE AT JADOTVILLE - it shows you how mendacious politicians are. A great film about a forgotten Irish Army-Company during the Katanga crisis in Congo 1961.
