What's the last or current Movie you Watched ?

Boy Erased

I recently saw Boy Erased. A very disturbing movie. I am older. I have no doubt that if conversion therapy would have been available when I was a teen, my parents would have sent me. It needs to be banned everywhere.
 
Watched OPEN CAM last night, it's a gay murder mystery.
Low budget but surprisingly good.
 
"Ad Astra". They call it a minimalist masterpiece, or something like that. I call it a snore.

"Downton Abbey". Cute bit of fluff.
 


If you loved the series, you'll like the movie. There was a lot to cover and they all did a commendable job. Although I feel like some things were glossed over or barely touched upon -- somewhat like the series finale -- and there were a lot of scenic shots/panning that could have been left out to make room for more story development, it did move the story and characters forward (for the most part).

There were a few great things, several good moments, some so-so scenes, and a smattering of 'meh, why bother' items. It did feel like loose ends were brought to a better close ... and it could involve a sequel.

So I thought I'd give this movie a second look and I have to say that (like I thought the 1st time round), it's too damn long @ 2hrs 40mins and with a bit of sensible editing we would have a movie, a typical Tarantino movie - a very capable cast, well shot, with moments of extreme violence
 
Giant Little Ones (2018)

I liked this coming of age movie about sexual identity and friendship.
