A well written and well performed movie. Olivia Coleman has the best lines- no major spoiler but there is a dinner party scene that's LMAO

WAKE UP DEAD MAN : A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY (2025)

An excellent return for Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc. This time he's joined by another all star ensemble cast including Josh Brolin; Glenn Close; Josh O'Connor; Jeremy Renner; Andrew Scott and Mila Kunis. It has all the elements of the first 2 movies - the Agatha Christie style of collecting all your suspects together; red herrings and plot twists and some great and funny one-liners but this one was a little darker in tone and set up. I really enjoyed it. The 2hr 24mins running time just zipped along.

This is Wes Anderson's first movie, starring Owen & Luke Wilson and it's quirky comedy. It is a much more "normal" movie in terms of cinematography and colour palette with just one or two moments when you get hints of how his style will develop. It was okay but not up to the standard of his later work.

They each want to become champion of the 10-Dance Competition, which means they'll need to learn the other's specialty dances, and who better to learn from than the best? But old rivalries die hard, and things get complicated even further when they realize there might be more between them than an uneasy partnership. (IMdB)

126 minutes, dance film! And there's dancing, dancing, dancing, which sounds dull. But only "it sounds". It was for us (both of us are passionate dancers) one of the very best films from 2025. You'll find it on NETFLIX. The whole story is fascinating, I think as well
for non-dancers. And it is in a special way as well, a gay love story. The performance of both of the leads is amazing. And when I've said that both of us are passionate dancers - well, we are total losers towards both of these actors. And I had a total crush on Shinya Suzuki (Ryoma Takeuchi). Try it out. VERY RECOMMENDED

This is a fairly low-key performance from Nicholas Cage - or at least in the first 40 mins or so that I saw. I turned off at that point. The problem I had with it was the 2 storylines don't mix together well. There's 10 mins of gangster stuff then 10 mins of him having dinner with his estranged son and they could almost be 2 separate films. Avoid

Great performances from the 2 leads, lots of passion, lots of intensity; lots of dance. Maybe too much dance for me.

I wonder if the english sea-side resort of Blackpool realises it features so much in a Japanese movie?
