The Truth Will Out

A damn fine slab of Swedish Scandi-noir (so lots of driving over bridges and walking around in snowy forests!).

I nearly lost out as after the 1st episode I had thought of giving up with it, the plot and character development being just soooo dammmnnn SLOOOOWW - but I decided I would watch episode 2 and see how I got on - things improved, so much so that the following night I watched episodes 3; 4 and 5.....

I just have the final episode to watch tonight where (hopefully) all will be revealed regarding the real serial killer; what the police "involvement" was during the original investigations, corruption in high places ? or sheer incompetence?

I have read that the story is inspired by extraordinary true events in Sweden regarding the hunt for a serial killer some years ago.

So I was wrong - there are 8 episodes so I had 3 to watch last night... totally gripping, edge of the seat stuff in places! What I also liked was that whereas some movies/tv series end on the "high-note" this one let you see how things settled back down afterwards. I just complete the Expanse on Amazon Prime. I had heard of it, but never watched it. A friend suggested I should and WOW, what a series! In some ways I'm glad I waited because having to wait a year between each season would have sucked.

Well as there is the new series 6 staring this month I have started binging on series 1 to 5 of "Friday Night Dinners" on C4 in UK - 4 down 27 more to go and then the new stuff..... and looking forward to new escapades in Pissface V. Pussface :thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up::rofl::rofl::rofl:
