hannibal, bit silly but i like it
I second "American Gods". Halfway through the first season, the plotlines are still confusing, but each scene is mesmerizing.

That's intentional. The series closely follows the book and it's designed to keep you guessing right up until the very end...
As for being "mesmerizing", that's the magic of Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me, Pushing Daises, Hannibal) No one else could bring this imagery to life the way he does...
