Trust Me (2017)

The main reason why I bothered to see this show is because of Jodie Whittaker (she was phenomenal in Broadchurch). I'm not dissapointed. It's an excellent show. Exactly what I expect from the British series.

That's my all time favorite tv show. The main thing about this show is John Lithgow (IMO, one of the most underrated actors of all-time). He is the obvious highlight; his acting style is excellent and his comic timing is fabulous. What a brilliant actor! :thumbs up:

And here's another John Lithgow fan: Me ;)

"Living The Dream"...

A British series about a family immigrating to America from London after buying a RV park in Florida sight unseen. Naturally, the park turns out to be a run down shit hole filled with an eclectic mix of odd-ball residents, some of whom are not too happy with the new owners.

So far, I've been disappointed. The show has potential for some really hilarious moments that aren't being taken advantage of while relying strictly on American stereotypes such as "Evangelical Christians" and red necks for comic fodder. Not to mention the kids freaking out over reciting "The Pledge Of Allegiance" in school, a practice that went away at least 30 years ago. We didn't do it when I was in school...

I'm 47 years old. We still had "The Pledge Of Allegiance" when I was in elementary school.....Starting about the 4th grade students could "opt out" if they so chose.....Guess they were phasing it out......I don't recall it in Junior high or high school at all.........I was in North Carolina and things seem to move slower in the south......

"The Pledge of Allegiance" is something totally unknown in schools in Germany. My Grand-Dad has had it during the time of the Nazis. But after the war it was banned in German schools. -

But very quietly I want to ask: why should it be harmful or dangerous for morals or public orders? Only a question......

The reasons for it could vary among states or local municipalities. In North Carolina it was stopped due to religious reasons so I can't get into that here....I'm sure you will understand....:)
