I have to agree this was excellent! Apparently it was one of the most expensive dramas produced by the BBC (there are 6 episodes, each an hour long) but it shows through on the high production values. From a John le Carre novel with great cast - Tom Hiddleston; Olivia Coleman; Tom Hollander; Liz Debicki and Hugh Laurie as Roper the charming but nasty mephistophelean arms dealer... high octane, high tension, gripping stuff!

Thank you Slimjim - I couldn't have said it better. But one thing I must say here - I think and I feel that the most of the BBC-series are short but M U C H better and they have more tension as in some of the American series which running for 7, 8 - 9 or more seasons. And in this special one Hugh Laurie was marvellous as the villain. We couldn't stop watching it and so it lastet until deep in the night.
