In 1930, Type 49 replace Type 44.

Type 49 and Type 46 are the last Bugatti with simple OHC (overhead camshaft) engine that had an inimitating pure look.
Above, it is the group of a type 46, with twin spark ignition, stopped in 1936 by the Alsacian constructor.
Double OHC motors, wished by Jean Bugatti, are coming in 1930 for the Type 50.
