Probably best known for the TV show Quantum Leap, Stockwell had an incredible 70 year career, starting as a child actor in Anchors Away (1945), Gentleman's Agreement (1947), and The Boy with Green Hair (1948). As an adult he won critical acclaim playing Edmund Tyrone in the film version of Long Day's Journey into Night (1962) with Katherine Hepburn.

But it was later in life that he came back to acting and found a new career as a character actor in the 1980s in Paris, Texas, To Live and Die in LA, Dune, Married to the Mob and The Twilight Zone and dozens more movies and television shows.
