Runrig! Scottish rock! Ach aye, raise a wee lighter to Donnie Munro and the boys of Skye!

And speaking of Skye boys, that's what Harry Styles is flying over in the "Sign of the Times" video above - that's bonnie Scotland and the Cuillin Mountains.

I understand. Runrig is a beloved band native to Scotland, specifically from the Isle of Skye. What U2 is to Ireland, Runrig is to the Scots. Hearing them again inspired a sentence in my post that was largely unintelligible outside of Glasgow.

I think U2 are a bit more well-known than Runrig, as well as somewhat more rock mainstream. A better comparison might be with Clannad.

Anyway, I listened recently to the new album from Procol Harum; I think this is one of the better tracks:

I know one direction/Harry Styles, U2, Procol Harum and especially Runrig, my favourite band for nearly 30 years, enjoyed them live several times and followed their career, great guys and great music :thumbs up:,
I think I know all of their songs...

I picked this up the other day at a real physical record store: "Voyage 34: The Complete Trip", by Porcupine Tree.

Some of it is on Youtube. If you have the time, settle back and listen to the full 13 minutes of this (Phase 1). It's not the sort of thing you can appreciate by listening to for 30 seconds.
