Houston elected a pro Gay democratic mayor to replace our term limited Lesbian Mayor Annise Parker. The religious right who came to Houston in large numbers to defeat the pro Gay rights law which they called the men in the ladies bathroom law stayed on and poured lots of money into constant advertising trying to use the Hero law defeat to mobilize church people and rednecks to elect a Ted Cruz type mayor who would not bring up Gay rights anymore. I am so happy Houston has retained it's sanity!

Actually, there are a couple of things that makes me happy and if you allow me to list them on the forum ...I would greatly appreciate it.
1) I am really looking forward to this Christmas. I have finished my Christmas shopping and I am going away with my close friends as we celebrate the holiday together at the farm that one of my friends had inherited from his late parents. I feel so blessed to have these guys in my life since they have been there for over 16 years and have remained very loyal and supportive to me throughout. These guys are my family...my brothers for life and I cannot wait to see their faces when they open up my gifts for them on that day. I love them so much and I know they love me so much more.
2) I am very happy that I dodged a bullet by getting involved with someone that I met earlier this year. There are some people who find me to be too selective and extremely picky as to whom I allow into my personal life and that's fine with me because I always try to follow my first instincts which is always right. My "red flags" went up when this guy aggressively came at me upon first meeting and quickly confessed his "love" for me. When I did not reciprocate the way he would had liked me to...He immediately got pissed at me and went on to try to spread unnecessary rumors about me that was not true to say the least because this guy really feels that for him to give anyone his attention is to be acknowledge in such a way. Furthermore, this guy is so arrogant that he is unemployed and will not pursue employment unless its something that he feels will represent him in a way to elevate attention in his favor.
Also, this guy has been dabbling in male escorting where he focuses on guys that have a substantial financial backing and are so simple looking that they would do whatever to accommodate him to keep him around because he feels he is doing them a tremendous favor to be in their company due to the fact that he knows he can do so much better. He does not care about how they look or how they are built which is something that he had previously focused on a lot as long as they have a strong financial background. Unfortunately, he decided at this time to stray away from good looking men whom are career driven where as they would not allow him to crash at their residences and feed him or shower him with gifts, etc. This latest guy that he is putting focus on has moved him into his home and this guy has posted naked pictures of them together on social media ... but has cropped out the guy's face in order to avoid nasty comments.
To conclude, the reason I am so happy about this is that I avoided this asshole's antics because although he found me to be very attractive...but he thought that I was really shy and could easily be taken advantage of ...but when he found out that I was a strong minded individual and became very intimidated by my demeanor....and therefore..he immediately pulled away. His latest behavior had made me feel so blessed that I followed my initial instincts and moved away from him and did not get caught up in his good looks.

I picked up the third and forth books in the "The Mortal Instruments" from the bookstore today.
I drive a way to and from my job every day. My 2004 Honda just wasn't up to the Boston winters anymore.
I picked up a new little Subaru suv today. The Crosstrek has 4 wheel drive, and lots of anti crash protection.
Maybe, just maybe, it'll keep Tonka from crashing. We shall see.
