I watched it via a DVD screener, so the experience may vary, but tbh, while I didn't think it was bad, I didn't feel like it was anything special either. Some people just have different tastes that do not always match with the majority. Maybe I'd like it more if I saw it in better quality (screen rips are not identical to retail), but based on the movie itself, I don't feel like it's worth the hype.

Frozen (not the cartoon) - a guy, his best mate and girlfriend are on a ski-lift, when it stops. The lights and everything get turned off, as the resort closes for 5 days. How will they survive... or will they ?

It could've been better, but for a movie that was pretty much focused on just those 3 characters, it wasn't bad at all.

I really liked the movie, even gave it 8/10, but even I don't think it deserves to be sweeping awards season in the way it is (doing so far).

Phantasm (1979) BluRay Collector's Edition

This is one of my all time sci-fi/horror flicks.

Bill Thornbury is so deliciously f*ckin' HAWT and his butt shot, even though the butt was actually the film's grip's butt and not Bill's, always makes me want to give it a motor boat! :devil:

We're gonna watch Phantasm II (1994) BluRay this weekend. Then the rest of the 5 in the series on subsequent weekends.

These are all out on BluRay now and they look great. If you've never watch the first one I recommend it. The first 2 are great. The second 2 are okay and we have not seen the 5 one yet. We wanted to re-watch all the others in order before watching the 5th and last sequel. Alas, Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man) finished filming the 5th movie before his death but that puts an end to this franchise.
