I watched 2 Melissa McCarthy movies, back to back.
The tv guide gave a better review to The Heat , and it has Sandra Bullock (who I like), so I watched that one first.
I wasn't keen on it at all
I didn't have high hopes for the next movie : Identity Thief. The review wasn't so good.

A less well known Coen Bros. movie.. their take on the late 40's film-noir, filmed in black and white. A very dark plot with many a plot twist and turn.The usual Coen stable of actors - Billy Bob Thornton is superb as is Francis McDormand (ie Mrs Coen) Michael Badalucco; Jon Polito; Tony Shaloub and James Gandolfini all shine. Roger Deakin's cinematography is wonderfully atmospheric as is the soundtrack.

IT'S MY PARTY a film from 1996 with a magnificent Eric Roberts. Today I think Mr. Roberts will be out. Or if he is playing a part - it will be only in XYZ-movies. But here he was brilliant. It is one of the earlier movies which dealed with AIDS.
