This Norwegian movie is the 2nd this year titled Kraken. This one is painfully slow and easily forgettable.

Sam Rockwell stars in this Gore Verbinski directed movie of marvellous mayhem. A darkly comedic satire, beautifully bonkers, chaotically quirky ... highly entertaining and lots and lots of fun.

Taron Egerton and Charlize Theron star in this and I guess they had more fun making it than I had watching it. Forgettable

A don't miss docu.mentary film. We have Sir David Attenborough (British "National Treasure" who celebrates his100th birthday this Friday); gorillas (always fascinating to watch) and some simply stunning photography/camera work... highly recommended,

This Russian movie starts off okay with some very good CGI but at around 40mins the plot disintegrates and at 50min I hit the off button

So someone said "Hey, I've got an idea - why don't we make a Mission-Impossible-style movie with Jason Statham as the spy and Hugh Grant as the international villain? That'll be great won't it?"...............

................. No it won't, it will be rubbish and if you make it to around 30mins before switching off you will have done well

REMARKABLY BRIGHT CREATURES (2026 - USA)

An elderly caretaker sets off to help a young man find his father. An octopus is involved.

It sounds a little bit strange (the thing with the octopus!) but believe me it is a very moving, wonderful - no - amazing film.
I would say it is a MUST-SEE for everyone who has a romantic heart!!!!!!

SAN ANDREAS (2015)

In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey with his ex-wife across the state in order to rescue his daughter. Imdb

What was I thinking? I was tired so didn't want anything too mind-taxing but still fun... the CGI effects of the destruction was good but the "plot" around the rescue was just terrible.

Eddie Marsan stars in this gripping telling of a "based on true events" bank robbery. A highly entertaining and tense watch.

SHOOT 'EM UP (2007) ... the vid is of the opening scene

A man named Mr. Smith delivers a woman's baby during a shootout, and is then called upon to protect the newborn from the army of gunmen. Imdb

Clive Owen plays Mr. Smith and the always excellent Paul Giamatti plays his adversary in this beautifully bonkers dark comedy. It is so over-the-top that it's coming back up, totally wacko with some hilariously funny deadpan dialogue ( errr.. what's up Doc?)- so very cartoonishly dumb but at the same time so utterly utterly FUN... recommended when you want to open a bottle and switch your brain off.

1945. The Second World War is over and several Nazi leaders, including Hitler's number 2 Hermann Goering, were captured by the Allies. The American goal is to put the leaders before an international court, but that proves difficult to arrange. In the meantime, Dr. Douglas Kelley, a psychiatrist in the U.S. Army, instructed to investigate the mental state of the prisoners, approaching Goering. That's his story. (IMdB)

If you are interested in the history of the Nuremberg Process this film is a real MUST for you. Great Acting from Rami Malek, Russel Crowe and too from Leo Woodall. Very recommended!!!!!!

A solid dialogue-heavy character-drama starring Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel who are both pretty much on screen the whole movie. A witty script and McKellen at his best.
