I've never been there, but I live in Brighton, MA, USA and it always comes up in internet searches. My Brighton is a little gay. Brighton, England is apparently GAY.

That makes perfect sense - I was gonna say that judging by the architecture it's an old seaside town, and Penzance fits that perfectly.
