I don't know why. It's just one of my inexplicable preferences

I don't like patterned underwear, or those with prints (don't even get me started on cartoon and superhero underwear...). They can be a turn-off, but unfortunately, many guys seem to wear them. Plain white boxer briefs are the hottest!
