I really liked Anette, Dark Passion Play is my favourite album, but I think in Imaginaerum her voice was a bit weak in places. I was kind of... not happy but not sad either about Anette leaving the band. I really hope they get a soprano for a singer, or just change the singer/s according to their needs so that it won't really matter who is with them. I've been listening in youtube for Floor Jansen singing and I've really liked it. For me Nightwish is mostly the band as a whole and most importantly, Holopainen's music. I wish all the best for both the band and Anette in the future

I hope this hasn't already been posted, but at the moment I'm into Skindred.
It's kind of a mixture between Metal and Reggae and before I heard it I would never have expected that this could be so great xD

Always been a big Beherit fan and their newest album Engram is in my opinnion the best album so far. No other band has the same "feeling", that Beherit has kept true its existence. So heres Beherit song Pagan Moon, from album Engram.

What do you mean by "extreme"? Blackmetal like Arghcoat, Behexen, Horna, Mayhem etc. or some deathmetal, grindcore etc.? Or maybe the likes like Goatvulva, which Marko Laiho descripes himself as "xxx rated porno speed sound"?:rofl:

I saw Finntroll in Germany 2 years ago. They played in a tiny location, not more than 150 people there- that was fun.
My favourite is Ensiferum, but live Fintroll is much better.

I'm currently enjoying The Crest, the former band of Nell Sigland, the second singer of the disbanded Theatre of Tragedy - it isn't metal (gothic rock), but nonetheless worth listening.

Oh, and Tristania has released a new album today, the title track is available at yt. 'twas quite a surprise, to say the least ^^
