Blocked Downloads

i have spent so much time trying to download files from Filesonic, Oron and Fileserve and been told that either I had reached my download limit when I had never been able to download 1 single file, that's Oron. Whilst Filesonic keeps telling me that I am already downloading a file and I have deleted all cookies and cache even rebooted my pc but always the same and Fileserve the same thing.

As I am a premium member of Filesmonster and Rapidshare and I have never found any files I wanted on this site that are stored with them I give up on this site, I have wasted enough of my time and I definitely won't be back!

Its a shame a lot of the good stuff on here is hosted with Oron which is blocked by the IWF for uk users.

Wish more users would post multiple hosts but its not their, or this sites, fault or problem really.

I don't know why you bought Filesmonster prem and Rapid points. There's only a handful of Rapidshare links left on the web and Filesmonster is only good for porn (like Oron). Fileserve and Filesonic are the mainstream file hosts - you can easily get porn, movies, apps and games with them.

I'm on a DSL line where one can generate a new IP address easily by using the control found within the modem's software OR by using the control found within a download manager (I use Jdownloader). If you generate a new IP, you reset the counters that the hosts set. Have you tried to do this? Generate a new IP?

I use all the hosts you listed with no trouble. Oron is a bit slow while Filesonic and Fileshare are very fast. In addition, FS allows resumable download, (Oron doesn't) so I prefer FS.

Oron is OK if your use the downloaders that they recommend. I have an Oron Premium Account and using JDowloader is a waste of time and with Oron, once you have started a download your account is debited. I use FlashGet 3.3 for Oron. Works OK.

Oron allows only 5 GB a day and only really credits you after the first 15GB after 3 days. It is also a little more expensive. They are very helpful though and reply very quickly to e-mails.

I just don't know why some posters are only using Oron. Surely they realise that if people don't download they are going to lose out?

For me Fileserve and Filesonic are the best. Filesonic seems to have ironed out the problems after the merge with Sharingmatrix. With Premium accounts they are fast with no limits.

Thanks for sharing. We all know the posters put a lot of effort into their uploads but please think of the other options and use other hosters as well.

My guess is that some of those posts are coming directly from Oron. There seem to be a vast number of Oron posts of films from smaller production companies like Ropes McGurk, and some of the European companies, that are less likely to take legal action against them. It seems a little odd that all of these are showing up at the same time, like somebody went through the entire catalog of some of those companies. I barely even look at the Oron posts. I find that I can only download one a day, so I don't even bother if it's a movie with several parts.

I use Oron alot as a free member. I simply regenerate a new IP for each segment. (actualy JDownloader does this automatically.) I dl a typical 4 or 5 part clip in maybe an hour. No problem, works great. Oron is a little quicker after midnight here on the east coast of the USA, but still works just fine during the day too.

The only disadvantage is if the dl gets interrupted. No resume feature for us free users. Have to start the segment all over. Doesn't happen often but once in a while.

Something strikes me as deeply flawed with the sentiment being expressed here. I get a real sense of entitlement - that somehow, this site that is offered for free owes you (or indeed any of us) something. They do not!

If you're not happy, then sod off, but no need to exit on rant - you paid nothing and you contributed nothing so you got exactly what you earned!

I don't know why - but I get very upset on the behalf of all the admins and moderators who put so much work into this place when I see posts like this. Just felt I had to say something.

I am afraid I do not understand a few things about your remarks, dear Rimmer.
As far as I know this forum offers the members a platform to do things. Gay Heaven offers the shelves, totally free and in a rather anarchistic way. They only come to action when things violate the basic rules. As a member I am very grateful for that. But I am also grateful to my fellow members, who are willing to share their possession with me. I express my gratitude by saying thanks to my fellow members, 1674 times since November 2008. Not enough, because that is <2 times a day. It should have been a thousand times a day!
File servers also offer shelves. Also in a rather anarchistic way. You may use them as you like. The major difference with Gay Heaven is, that they want (and have?) to make money. Therefore they don’t treat everybody equal (as they do at Gay Heaven). You have to pay for advantages.
I think, that is all there is. No conspiracies nor evil plans.
