At foreground, the new ZX. At the opposite of the GS from the same category (down middle class), it is not a hydraulics model. We will never see again a 1015 cm3 car equiped with hydropneumatic suspension. :(

Xantia, the novelty 1993, is going to replace slowly the best-seller BX.

No hydraulics but interesting however : 2 CV Spot model by Hachette-Collection.
The 2 CV Spot was the first Citroën sold in limited serie, 1800 units in 1976 on the base of 2 CV 4. The scale 1/6 is unique.

One classor for classing the folder sent with parts.

Some tools to assembly the model, Hachette has thinked to everything.

The model scale 1/43 offered with the number one.

As always you get the first number nearly for free with some "gifts" in more, but after ...
I don't believe I shall do it.

2 CV Spot inside the flat-twin range Citroën at spring 1976

2 CV Special - 435 cm3 - 24 ch - 102 km/h - 12300 F

2 CV 4 - 435 cm3 - 24 ch - 102 km/h - 13100 F
2 CV 6 - 602 cm3 - 26 ch - 110 km/h - 13900 F

2 CV Spot - 435 cm3 - 24 ch - 102 km/h - 13600 F

Dyane 6 - 602 cm3 - 32 ch - 120 km/h - 14700 F

Mehari - 602 cm3 - 26 ch - 100 km/h - 16560 F

2 CV Van 250 kg - 435 cm3 - 24 ch
2 CV Van 400 kg - 602 cm3 - 26 ch

Ami 8 - 602 cm3 - 32 ch - 123 km/h - 16560 F

Ami 8 Break - 602 cm3 - 32 ch - 123 km/h - 17660 F

2 CV Special and 2 CV Spot kickstarted a bit the 2 CV bicylinder 435 cm3 much less produced than the 3 CV 602 cm3, especially for the stopping of the Dyane 435 cm3 the precedent year. This motor too weak will be left in 1979.
Most of 2 CV you see on the road today are in reality some 3 CV !

First models

"Le gorille vous salue bien" - 1958

"Le soleil des voyous" - 1967
DS 19 first model (1958) with central tail pipe under the bumper

"Un singe en hiver" - 1962
One ID 19 without any accessories, we appreciate better the design of Flaminio Bertoni.

ID/DS range 1966
Between austere ID 19 and luxuous DS 21 Prestige, a "simple" DS 21 is maybe the right compromise...

ID 19

DS 19 - DS 21

Brake distances on the meter are a special feature of the DS 21.

DS 19 - DS 21 Pallas

DS 19 - DS 21 Prestige Pallas

The amazing monobranch wheel of the DS

At the time of the early DS, Citroën assembled yet a three branchs wheel on the last Traction six windows (long model).

So futurist, the DS 19 dashboard was designed by Flaminio Bertoni.
Steering column is prolonged until the wheel circle. It is not easy to dismantle. ~X(

At the same age, Gabriel Voisin, here leant on his Biscooter, thinked also to the monobranch wheel.

At l'Auto-Journal, they were well informed! In one of his magazines, René Bellu tells, fifty years after, that he hesitated a long time before to draw this wheel. But he forgot the gearshift! :p
