Got the Day off from work Tomorrow my normal once a month off.

I got great news, my neighbors next door (who are Jehovah's Witnesses ) are building a new 8 foot wood privacy fence on my property line from the back property line to the ditch out front and I couldn't be happier. I put one up when they moved on the lot next to me about 20 years ago and it is showing wear after going through three hurricanes and so it is not in tip top shape anymore. I seriously thought of sending them flowers or something when it is up and finished but then I guess that might be a bit tacky. I am one that likes to express thanks when people do something that really makes me happy and this makes me extremely happy. Any ideas?

I've always connected the word 'gift' with the word 'give'.

Now I can give someone I'm not fond of a 'gift' and consider it 'poison' too!

What is your 'Bank Holiday' in recognition of Slim?

We have a 3-day weekend holiday coming up next weekend. It will be Labor Day weekend. It's meant to recognize the workers of America. A little tiny bit of socialism, lol.

It's also the last holiday of the summer season so it's a big party weekend for sure.

Give them a blood sausage and don't forget to stick some of those cute little flags on it (like you have them on appetizers). And a Harry Potter doll.

What is your 'Bank Holiday' in recognition of Slim?

Well here in the UK we can't be arsed to pretend that they are in recognition of specific things, apart from the Easter; Xmas & New Year... we have "Spring", "May" and "Summer" bank holidays... we just want a day off work with full pay !!!!!:rofl::rofl:... there have been calls for another "excuse" for one between the one at the end of May and end of August... 3 months without an official day off!!!!X_X:duh:
