The view says it all. What a great place to tune out and recharge for a while. I’m glad your back ;)
 
Here are a load of pics when I was up at the Lake Distrcit the other week

This is the place we stayed at



This was the first evenings sun set



Went to Hawkshead the next day to look around. This small town is only around 1 mile north of where we were stayiong and ate in this town every eveneing

Next day went to Windermere Boat thing



Which has loads of old boats.



With some all restored and working



Steam powered

Next day went on a boat the whole length of Lake Windermere

Went for walk around on the boat

Next day went here which I think it called "Hill Top House". the house of Beatrix Potter

Next day drove around Lake Coniston



Then drove over to Lakeside which is the top of Lake Windermere where there is a stram train



All aboard



One of the station stops



The train takes you to lakeside where the boad ended a few days abo



Went into the Cafe there



and watched all the boats coming and going





One of the steam engins



Back where we started and went into the Cafe to have some ice cream





Then drove to where the car ferry crosses and caught that to the other side





Back in Hawkshead for supper and saw this on top of a Letter Box

Your photos are always so amazing and so professional. You are really a great artist and you are showing with your photos a great love for your country! And that is something I really admire! Thank you so much for your effort to show all of us your beautiful homecountry. (y)

LOL Nope not professional photographer, or work in the tourist trade. Im an IT Techy Dude!
Sorry for not porting on the day when I did things, Just totally switched off from posting anything while away this time
I think I killed the building Internet connection as after a few days it stopped working. Maybe I ran it out of data! Oh well. Mobile worked a treat up there on 5G! of all places!

I had never been to the Lake District before. Its just so green up there and we were so lucky with the weather :)

I'm off back to Cornwall at the end of this week for a week :)

I will be staying at Padstow this year, so not as far south as we usually go



Padstow as a live streaming camera of the harbour so you might spot me standing it front of it waving!

Well I have made it down to Cornwall :)

Stopped off at this services place on the motorway



And inside very colourful



This old car was parked next to us when we got back to the car



Went to the local Farm Shop before we went to the appartment



And inside the Farm Shop



Arrived at the appartment. This is the view from the front window



Ate in here for the first night



Got back to the apartment and the view at night



Will stay local tomorrow and will walk around Padstow

Saturday. Spent the day here at Padstow.

Woke up at 5am and looked out the window



Finally later in the morning :), nice blue sky :)



Around midday the tide had gone out showing all the sandbanks



Walked down the harbour in Padstow



Oh those pesky Sea Gulls!



The other side of the harbour



Boats were coming and going ferrying people around



Heading to the other side of the bay



Then walked over to the other place where shops were.



Had supper in there. There was a cute lad serving us :)



Back at the apartment and watching Live Aid 40 years on!

The master of photography is at work again! Wonderful pics - thank you so much. Years ago I've been with my parents and my brother too in Cornwall. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth!
 
Sunday

Drove to Wadebridge to see what was there today. Been a Sunday the majority of it was closed





Cute cute things like this there :)



Then drove to Port Isaac. Used to be able to park in the harbour, but cant any more. Have to park up the hill and walk in. Walked around the coast path



Approacing the town or it is a Village!



Made it into the town/village

Walked up to where Doc Martin's house was from the TV series

back in the village and there is not much there. this gift shop that sells amazing ice creams

Back in Padstow and got take away from this place

Monday

We were going to get the Boat Taxi over to Rock today, but there was a big boat waiting there. So I asked where it was going. Out to the islands. So we went on that instead

continuing around you can see the sea is getting a bit rough

Saw some sea lions around one of the islands :)

OMG! Padstow is so packed



Ventured into one of the pubs for a Cream Tea



Was told in Cornwall jam first, so I ignored that!



Someone with a lot of money has parked their boat in the harbour



Walked around Padstow a bit to see where we might eat tonight. and this pub, its back to a white colour. Remember it used ot be yellow ages ago if you look back at the pics

Had supper here this eveneing



Padstow after supper. Soooo quiet now :)

Tuesday

Just after midnight on Monday night the moon made an appearance



Bit grey and cold and wet this morning :(



Went to Newquay today



This is the beach in the town



See the walkway going over to the house purched on top of the rock



Had a bite to eat here



There is a time capsule there to be opened in the year 3000!



Then drove to the next famous beach where all the surfers go

Wednesday

Went here first this



Some amazing creatures there :)

Then in the afternoon drove over to this National Trust house. National Trust - Lanhydrock



I wont bore you with every room that we went into. This was the first room when you entered the house

Got on the Ferry over to Rock today

Got back to Padstow. I have always wanting to walk up to the top to see what was there. And today finally did it

One final walk around Padstow as today is the last full day



Walked past a shop with this in the window. Sooooo funny. But OUCH look at the price EACH!
