Well Made it home.

Just as we were about to join the M4 from the M5 (for those that know this in the UK). There was an accident on the M4 and they closed it. So GoogleMaps took us on anoher route along with everyone else!

It took just over 8 hours to get home where as normally takes 4.5!

Once we re joined the M4 to get back home stopped off at this Service Station



And just looked on the Padstow webcam to see what it is like down there today. That huge catamaran boat is still there. But no sun!

Well Im off to Dublin for three weeks from tomorrow for work. I'm statying there for the weekends. Not flying home at the weekend.

So what things can I get up to over in Dublin on the weekends? Will only be relying on Public Transport

It depends on what your interested in. Dublin has some great architecture; churches museums and colleges. The riverside is nice, and also a great way to get between some of the sights as are the hop-on-hop-of tourist double-deckers that go around the city. If you want the "tourist-trap nightlife" then head down to the Temple Bar area for some very lively pubs and bars. Depending on your tipple you could book a Guinness tour or go around the Jamesons Whiskey distillery. If I remember these come with a high ticket price so check first.

Just outside the city is the Howth Peninsular with stunning views from the rugged cliffs; a castle; quaint (but probably tourist-price-expensive) pubs/restaurants down by the scenic harbour... there are clifftop paths to walk around or you could take a boat ride

Getting there is easy as buses and trains run from Dublin centre
