Belarus entry Ivan to perform naked surrounded by live wolves

Nude, singing with wolves? Belarus to test Eurovision limits!

ad20078587.jpg

In what he promises to be ''undoubtedly an experience, a great experience'', Belarusian singer Ivan will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest completely naked and flanked by wolves.

The problem? It is not clear whether the act will be allowed to go ahead. Eurovision bans animals on stage. And while there is no rule on nudity, spokesman Paul Jordan told AFP this is "not appropriate" for a family show.

Romania kicked out of 2016 ESC

For the first time in the 61 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest, a country has been expelled from the competition.

This year's entry for Romania, Ovidiu Anton, was due to sing the song Moment Of Silence.

The European Broadcasting Union, which produces the annual competition, said the decision was taken after Romania's national broadcaster, Televiziunea Romana (TVR), failed to pay debts totalling more than £11 million.

In a statement released moments ago on the European Broadcasting Union website, it says:

''TVR will now no longer be able to participate in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest and will lose access to other EBU member services including the Eurovision News and Sports News Exchanges, the right to broadcast specific sporting events, legal, technical and research expertise and lobbying services.''

Hated their entry but so unfair to their singer. Could've waited another 3 weeks until the contest was over and then placed the ban

I'm really happy for my country this year : France has a good song and a really good chance to not end in the bottom.
I usually don't support my country because every year, we send bad contestants but this year, we have finally a good singer and a nice song.

I don't know if I will make the mistake of watching the semi finales again. It means that you'll have to watch the silly lilltle movies and interviews twice and they are bad enough the first time you watch them.

We have our first ten finalists!

I'm sorry but Austria qualifing is in my opinion the crime of the century. Instead of Austria they could sent Iceland which was a much better performance.

If you watch it in livestream and wait a bit you can skip the boring parts which was... ehm... all of the show... ;) So I watched the summary at the end and the results, couldn't stand the whole songs.

But I watched all of Sweden (skipped the others too ;) ) and not only because of the cute twink.

And I'm happy for the Czech Republik so they can finally go again to the Finals.

What was San Marino about???

Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Second Semi-Final

What a joke of a contest! I'm sure when Poland qualified, the whole Europe went like:

originhrh.gif

BBC 4 commentators said: ''The guy is poor copycat of Conchita.'' I disagree with them. The guy is poor copycat of Blackadder. :D He seems to be stuck in the 80's...

Lots of bad songs (incl. Slovenia) last night. Red is red and blue is blue. I bet gray is gray and green ain't white. OK ManuElla, I got it! So, my 12 points goes to Petra Mede! ;)
